Could some one have been spraying something .I know my neighbor had her house scheduled for power washing and for some strange reason he uses ammonia to clean the house with and it was raining that day .She thought he wasn't coming but he did .We hurried to cover her pond .I always use bleach and dawn dish detergent and a pump sprayer ..I have a power washer but feel no matter what nozzle you can drive water under vinyl siding .I would rather be safe .I looked at her house after he was done and I was not impressed .That was over 2 months ago and it looks terrible already .Maybe ammonia is cheaper or that it does not harm plants ,not sure .Maybe the results are from he should not have done it while it was raining .
