Goldfish and Ponds in Popular Culture and Art

Believe it or not i have had to work around and make displays and hanging for many a "work of art" both privately and in museums. Was not my favorite handling treasures . One client had paper maccha horses on these very thin pedestal's and wanted us to work around them, we found out latter they were pre Ming dynasty .
What blew my mind was how many masters that had gone to México or south America and finding they hand bright white ceiling paint splatter on so many paintings . mostly religious characters mother Magdalene joseph etc.
As we witnessed how each crate as it arrived was video taped from two angles, curators with gloves just to find paint splatter on these works of art.
Always felt I can do that . never did .

My favorite is the painting, which I think is in the Art Institute of Chicago. (The drawings are also great.)

I love frogs too.... and have about 25 or so little frog statues in my garden space.

I'll try to photograph them one of these days.
