If you are trying to get away from Bread…
Cauliflower!
It might be easily passed but this Nutrient Dense cabbage is Low in Fat & Carbs, high in Fibre and Rich in Anti-oxidants... and makes a pretty darn good replacement of bread but it's low carb, gluten free and grain free!...

Cauliflower 'bread' Sticks:

1 head of Cauliflower
1/2 cup shredded Cheese
2 Eggs, beaten
1 tsp dried Parsley or Oregano or Basil
2 cloves Garlic, minced
Onion powder, Salt & Pepper to taste

1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
2. Cut up Cauliflower and steam till soft.. put on a tea towel and blot, try to get as 'dry' as possible.
3. Put in food processor or blend till it's mashed potato texture.
4. In medium bowl stir Cauliflower, Eggs, Cheese, Garlic & Seasonings
5. Lightly spray baking pan and pat the mixture out.
6. Bake at 450 for 15-20 minutes or until top starts to brown

All of our local stores were constantly out of Almond milk, so I started making my own.
1 cup almonds, soak in enough water to cover for 12 hours, drain, put in blender with 1 tsp vanilla for 5 minutes with 4 cups of water. Keeps for 4 or 5 days.
Strain out the pulp, goes in the composter.
I should have been making my own ages ago.:)

Have you tried eating or drinking the pulp? a lot of fiber there.

Yes, I tried drying the pulp in my food dehydrator and snacking on it, but it had the texture and taste of cardboard.
For now it will be going into the compost.

If you left it in the milk, is it like pulpy oj or grapefruit juice? or just gross lol

No, it's just like if you chop up nuts for baking, just no taste.
If I left some in the almond milk itself, you would really have to stir it each time to suspend the pieces.

Silk brand is a good one as far as store bought... Blue Diamond has carageegan in it, carageegan is a nuerotoxin. so look for carageegan in the almond, coconut, and even some dairy products, like 1/2 &1/2. silk does however put it in their coconut milk.
