ideas for grate in skippy filter

Just wondering what I could use for a grate in bottom of my skippy filter any ideas for me ?

I used the plastic light grates that are made for floresent lighting. You can get them in the lighting section at the local hardware store. Buy them by the sheet (I think it is 3' - 5 ').

I think that is what most people use. I have some on the bottom off the skippy to keep a space below the media and on top to keep the media down.

is it a stocktank or bareel or what?...barrels can use an old electric fan guard...stocktanks are bigger and need the florecent light diffuser.. the deffusers are in the ceiling tile section at lowes and home depot.

I talked to our bread man at the grocery store and he gave me some of the "broken" trays they use for transporting bread. Works great and it was free.
