inline vs submersible

I have built a kidney shaped pond that has been around for about 10 yrs. The pond is two feet deep in the waterfall side of the kidney and about four feet deep in the skimmer side about 20 feet away for a total of around 4000 gallons. A 3stage waterfall(starting with a biofalls) begins at around 35 feet away at about 12' high. My Tsurumi 50PN(3PN) which is 1/3 horse that flows 60GPM just died after 5yrs of faithful service. I was looking for a cheaper alternative and I found that inline pumps of this caliber appear less costly. I have the means to build a small pumphouse but would like to know the pros and cons of this application vs the other. And If I go inline would there be a suggested pump that would satisfy my flow requirements.

I like the evolution series pumps, You need to check the flow charts for ones that can handle that head pressure. I have never used anything except external pumps.
