This is a moment I will not forget. Though the pond had been hammered by storms and remnants of Forest fires. And the very limited time we had to get the clips together. Just being considered and recognized by the king of the trade was very humbling, flattering and a prize win i'll never forget.

It was a nice evening, so I decided to record a video while walking around the pond. Talking about techniques I used to hide the liner above the water line. The pond is 6 years old now and has certainly matured. I am going to put together a post similar to my showcase but solely talking about edging. So if you have a particular area that your particularly proud of, post it here. It would be great to make this a group effort and add a touch of everyone's personal style.

Really gorgeous and natural looking, a work of art!

Beautiful! But Brrr...!
I use to say i can deal with the cold better than the heat. but as I'm getting older I hate both extreme ends of the thermometer.

Reviving this thread, but I want to participate! I made this progress over the weekend on my new front yard pond.

I follow two simple rules - chaos and layers of different mediums (rocks, wood, plants, moss, etc.) and not stacking like materials on one another.

Good eye, yeah there is another small pond and stream that I put in last Oct/Nov, but it’s currently under edge-struction because some recent heavy rainfall has identified some areas that flood muddy water into the stream. The yard has been in a constant state of change since last October and that pond is waiting for a lot of perennials to wake up still.

Here are some winter photo’s

Call me weird i love the moss on the retaining wall , While Greg Wittstock loves his turtles i lovum my moss.
Yep moss is welcome here all it wants! Very easy to grow here of course due to our mild, wet climate.
