My wife and I took a trip to South Africa to visit my son and daughter-in-law who have been working out there for a few months.

The first two are from a trip to a Cheetah Sanctuary, where rescued animals are looked after. Every morning, they exercise the cheetahs by giving them a lure to chase.

The next batch are from a two-day safari trip to Pilansberg National Park. The weather wasn't brilliant, but at least that meant the cars were slightly cooler!!

This final group are from a visit to a Lion Conservation Centre, where we enjoyed an early morning stroll through the bush with a group of 4 young lions.

Thanks for posting! brings back memories of my trip in 85, 2.5 weeks tent camping with those gorgeous critters. Breaks my heart to see them in trouble.

lol the guides keep you safe. We had lions woofing outside of the tents, the one thing we were told is stay in the tent if you hear them. We could hear the guides chasing them away.
We did have a elephant chase us, and a water buffalo hit the truck, they are one of the most dangerous critters we ran into. We were in huge trucks when not stopped for the night.

Went white water rafting down the Zambezi river, after the safari, there any still water was the danger, hippos could come up and toss the rafts we were in.

Does he find stuff to eat in that spot or what?
He/she finds dead bees, they fly when it is warm aged ones die. The undertakers also drag out the dead bees and dumps them out side of the hive.

I had one on my deck in the middle of the day, a couple of weeks ago, eating bread I threw to the birds...don't they hibernate anymore?
