I would google nice ponds then when I see what I like that fits to that slope you have then cut and paste onto photo of your attached home pic.Then you have what you feel works best and a rendering for discussion with local builders.

Are you having these built or building them yourself .Can you go to home shows the have pond displays .You will have to consider your winters also .Google ponds in your area or use you tube .Most people love to show off a pond

The one thing i strongly recommend is Large boulders if it means digging deeper and installing your liner on top of a sand bed. to me the large and varying sized boulders are key to a natural looking fall and stream

Below water line don't waste your money on color of rocks they will in time all share a similar tint.

Exactly! And this setting calls for some mammoth boulders! Small rocks in a big pond just aren't the right scale.
