Nesting ducks near my pond!

Ok so the snapping turtle left on it's own about a day after he arrived. So, no worries there.
It should be time for baby ducklings any day now BUT, momma duck is NO LONGER on her nest! We saw her on the nest yesterday morning but not since. Some of the eggs were left uncovered. She hung out in our yard or down near the ditch between us and the neighbors a lot yesterday but has NOT been on the nest in at least 24 hours. We did have really bad thunderstorms yesterday and last night. Any cause for concern??

WHAT HAPPENED ! Did the eggs hatch ? Did Momma come back? Did that nasty old Swamp Turtle ever come back ? News please.

If it happens again, maybe you can can borrow, make, or buy a cheap incubator and you can be there Momma.
