I went to get more plants and ended up with new fish

They are just too cute. Two are Silver Hatchet and one is marble Hatchet. They are top swimmer and like to glide the water.

I was hoping to get one more Ghost catfish too but they didn't have it.

Spent too much on this trip but my tank is now full of plants :) love it.

I really NEED to STOP buying more fish.

Here are pictures of the Hatchet and Ghost catfish.

Very nice indeed however arent the hatchet fish the ones that in a panic will leave the water at spead .
Theres also the upsidedown hatchet you could buy .
Yes disapline must be in place when buying fish for your tanks .
A fun story about the upside down fish , we knew a man called Rck who wasnt very bright .
When he saw one in our tropical tank he asked us what it was , so we told him it was an Australian hatchet fish , which he believes to this very day ;)

Oh Dave, they would leave the water? Well they look like they could fly with that fins :) they are just too cute to pass out on. Don't get me hook on more ;)

I really really need to stop. Guppies are having babies like crazy I'll have to give away some.

Yes hatchet fish can fly out of the water when threatened by a preditor its how they escape so always take care when your hand is in the tank and keep the lid on at all times apart from cleaning .
Slow movements are your best bet as not to startle them .
Guppies stoped from breeding no way ;)
Take the males out is Val's suggestion .

Lol. I didn't realized this and made som change in the tank this morning. Luckily the hatchets didn't fly way ;)

Som day I got all the males in the floating basket so to give the females some freedom in the tank. In summer the guppies will go to the pond. I'll leave some female in the tank but the pond is so big for them that they hav plenty to spread out. The babies will be eaten in the pond so I won't hav to worry about baby guppies in summer.
