hello there i have been heron'd 3 to 4 times now so i have resorted to putting a net over the top but i'm not liking the look of this soooo my friend has a pond all dug out and then fibreglassed with all straight sides but that was very expencive so has anyone got any ideas you see i dont mind doing the work myself ...i.e. taking out the old pond lining digging out the sides (staright) and then i was thinking of cementing the sides and bottom ......has anyone got any advice at all if this is a good idea or not??? thank you

I like the use of "been heron'd", that's a great way to put it! :D

even deep straight sides don't stop them, they stand at the side of the pond and wait for the fish to swim by. I have straight deep sides, one of the herons fav places to fish from.
