Construction progress so far, only some finishing work left on the edges, and waiting for the liner.

In these 2 pics the hole looks excavated so awkwardly due to those stone extracted.
Initially I thought there will be a lot of sand down there, which I can use for landscaping but disappointed(these stones).

Finally I had to make the hole look proper by putting a small wall of bricks and stones then wet sand on it.

Now its looking in a much better shape.

After almost a year my pond is now on the edge of completion.

Completed 2 bricks retaining walls on 3 side to hold the soil properly

On left side of pond an additional single brick boundary is made to direct the excess rain water of patio towards left and not falling in pond

The pictures are greenish due to the green shade net.

Great that it covered both! No seams to worry about! Now dig your pond bigger! Just kidding :)

Cut no liner until you have it filled, and leave some excess around the edges

Made the edges to look proper, still it need some work but I'm out of idea right now. lol

Need some nice curved stones for the right side where the liner is exposed. I have some more sharp edge stone which are placed on both sides. But I'm afraid of putting such stones in water as they might damage the liner with pointed corners.

I already have more liner 3x more of this. I asked in feets but shop keeper thought they're asking in meter, it was also my first time so I thought he's giving the exact size what I need and lol

Already made a mistake, had cut the extra liner leaving very small liner piece to give some height on the edge for water holding. But somehow I've managed it, lets see how it works.

Some plantation done in and around the pond.
And this evening transferred those 8 fishes(2 mollies & 6 tiger barbs) from planted tub to pond.
They are looking so happy after getting in the pond. :shame:

Down in the Southern US, we transplants joke about managing the heat vs. the cold. In the cold, you can always put on more layers. In the heat, there's only so much clothing you can take off before you get arrested!!!!! :ROFLMAO:
I think people do just get used to where they are. One year we were at Disney World in late June. HOT! Meltingly hot. There was a young couple from the Middle East visiting. The woman was in dark denim jeans, a long sleeved shirt and traditional head covering. Gorgeous supermodel face with full make up. I was sitting there in my shorts and tee shirt, sweating from every pore in my body. She was standing in the full sun and looked magically beautiful. Magically cool and serene. I was in awe.
Welcome to the group, Harshit! I can't wait to see what you end up doing. Hopefully your ground is easier to dig than ours in the southern part of the US. When I dig, I'm going to need my super-strength!

Whoops -- just saw from TurtleMom's post that you are not new to the group. So instead of "Welcome", I will say "Hi!"
