Plants all clumped together

All my floating plants seem to end up clumped all together in the middle of the pond, any suggestions how to avoid this?

They will go where the current takes them.

I'm currently using black air tube with a few knots tied in various locations (to trap air) and I have strung them across the pond. This (so far) has kept my floating plants together in an area I want them in. I imagine you could tie both ends of the tubing together and create a ring for floating plants.

leave them clumped. They tend to grow better that way

I used some clear air tubeing left over from my aquarium, formed it in a circle and have my lettuce all together in it, it worked out great. Thanks for the suggestion Tim

Great Pam! Glad it worked for you. I kind of like the ascetics of it. You don't really see the tubing very well when the plants hang over the ring.
