A contractor just revamped my ponds to fix the leaking and hide the liner with stone. Alas, there is now a lot of splashing out of the lowest pond, maybe because there is so much more rock in there or because the weir is narrower. He used rock to hold up the liner and the weir. Do you think putting a discrete piece of screen or some sort of splash diffuser right under the fall would help? Any other suggestions?
He’s already reduced the water flow, shortened the weir, and used somewhat thinner stones right in front of the waterfall. I don’t want to stack up stones on the wall in front of the fall because that view is a main point of the feature.
On the bright side, he did fix a major leak and the rock lining for the main pond is a big improvement.
