I planned to go with Sequel pumps for mine, but couldn't find what I wanted available until months after I wanted it. So, I tried Artesian. My little pond just needs the smallest Artesian, 1/8 HP, low rpm, 3030gph at 4', 152W max current draw. Watch out with long runs, though, at 14' it is only 1400gph. 3 year warranty on that pump, which is more than you can find on most pumps out there. With the integral priming pot/leaf basket, they are nearly silent.

Mine turns once an hour. I've been happy with my filter and pump, but I really don't have the experience to tell you if it's better once every hour or two hours. I just can tell you what has worked for me.

Yes, a bit of a production. It was a hair brained idea that has gotten out of control. ..... the stream and pond all were an after-thought. I can't wait to see it finished too!

Getting ready for the heavy rains part of the hurricane Earl coming up the coast. Up to this point in time, it hasn't rained once since we excavated the pond. We've been very lucky. I'm sort of looking forward to the time away. Mixing bags of cement by hand aren't nearly as easy at 50 as they were at 25!

I hope not,... there is a half a pallet of stone out there. If I hear bombs hitting my house this evening, I'll know what it is.

Any wind, that can get under the cover, will make those few stones look like marbles. Once it gets under, you have a sail. I think you need to re-evaluate. I have had winds here do amazing things to stuff unsecured.

We, in frederick, did not even get a sprinkle out of it and no winds.

Hope you did well malatu, and what a project, it is looking great.
