going to go back up the things is most of it is a mountain so 300 acres does not look like much when you are looking up at it .I still had my lucky gold pan so I think it brought us some luck .That and all the rain last year brought a lot of black dirt and sand down the mountain to the streams .Thank you but it was just a lot of fun ,the finds were just a bonus .I can't wait to go back .

I hope this little cold spell passes fast .I tried to put more deck boards down but they froze to each other .I did manage to get 5 of them apart and down and the sun is out so maybe it will thaw them out .The old ones I took up broke up in pieces from being wet and frozen .Could not screw the new ones down because they would split .But there down and puppies won't get hurt

During the summer, I thought I may have a small leak somewhere. I was adding quite a bit of water weekly, but it would stop at a certain level. Haven't added any water all winter (y)pond still full. I believe it was the plants around the edge drawing up the water, a big Creeping Jenny mostly, I don't mind adding water for the Jenny so long as I know it's not a hole.

I turned my pumps the night we got down to 8 degrees .I could see by 1 am that night it was freezing up and just turned the switch's off to the outlets the pumps were plugged into .I left the switch's on to the aerator and pond heater .I am so glad my son put the outlets on switch's .I just have to go into my closet and switch them off .My son even put the switch's into a box in there that has a door on it so no one could accidentally turn them off .Best thing ever .
