Got somewhere around 8-9" total snow today! Predicted last week Tues., then bleeped out, totally gone from forecast, until yesterday morning. Phone beeping all day about winter storm warning. WTH!!! Well, it was supposed to go south of me, I was only supposed to get about 4", but it shifted ... imagine that ... and I got at least 8" (snowed more after the ruler pic, taken at 10 a.m., which show about 7.5"). I'm happy, as it was a nice lightweight dry snow, so very easy to shovel. Didn't need to plow the driveway to the barn, got the truck out just fine, and put it back inside til morning.
deck patio table stacked up with snow, and Pipi boy with a "snow cone" hat.
Even though my horses have this area to come in out of the weather, they obviously decided standing out in the snow was fun. Loved Clyde (the mule's) face. LOL
Imagine this scene. I'm sitting in living room around 2 this afternoon, snow has pretty much quit, and I hear thunder ... LOUD thunder! The house was shaking, and I jumped out of the chair, wondering what in the world was happening! Then I saw it ... avalanche from the roof. Good think no one was under it when it happened. I know the horses have experienced it with the large barn roof, because when the snow on that roof shifts, they jump fast!
Smokey also loves the snow.
