I think tomorrow is supposed to be warmer and sunnier for everyone. I got my elephant ear bulbs planted in potting soil, and put the pots in the basement under a grow light, where it's warmer than outside. Just want to give them a jump start. Some I will put bare root into the bog and others in huge pots in the center, and then surround them with other plants. Saw that at the botanical gardens, so want to try that. Next weekend my GF and I have our annual trip to Prairie Gardens landscaping store in Champaign, IL. They have mini seminars that are free, and very informative, this year they have several on shade plants, and my GF lives in the woods, so very interesting to her. I got the dwarf trees there last year at super prices, only about $16 each, and all are living. Not sure what the "specials" will be this year, but we get great deals. Oh, got a Japanese Maple seedling that was about 20" tall for $5 last year.
