nope but my dad was and just took from his idea and adapted it to parts i could get these days .I look at the list of stuff he bought to do his and had to think about it and find parts that worked with my idea and what I had on hand .I did have to buy those connectors and the plastic .I wanted to make sure the wind did not rip the plastic off .But guess you can just weigh the plastic down with just rocks on either side .

So funny being here, a COLD front is coming, get out the jackets, gloves, scarf

All over the news, it is dropping to a COLD 70 57 at night.

Rainy and chiller today and they are calling for thunderstorms tomorrow and then back up to 70's again .Right now they say it is 57 but it sure does not feel like that .

lots of rain and wind .News is that I was scooping stuff out of my pond from all the wind and what do I scoop up with pieces of leaves was a surprise ,4 baby fish 1 to 2 inch's long one black one black and gold and 2 black gold and white .Lucky I always double check the net when I scoop up stuff from the bottom .I wish I could have gotten a pic .I tried to balance the small net to hold them but by the time I got back the net had turned sideways and they escaped

Heavy rain today and it dropped pond temp. down. Still got dead banana plant leaves chopped off and to the compost .Getting dark out now .Fish fed and babies did not come up .When I take out the floating plant holders I am going to have to look at them closely

Heavy rain yesterday and 76 today! Cold front coming thru but long range forecast shows no signs of any freeze till at least mid December. I'm not complaining but pond temps are in mid 60s and nothing has started to die back. Normally I would not mind but looking at minor surgery in the next couple of weeks that will have me limited for at least 6 weeks!. Bog will need to be cut back and filters cleaned. There are leaves on the pond bottom that need scooping but the leaves are not all the way down yet so pulling net to clean would be useless. I'm guessing hubby is going to be getting pond training 10.0! He is planning on our usual holiday decorating but that's not going to happen unless the elves show up. I would almost hope for a major freeze this weekend but not going to happen. Maybe it will stay mild till spring?
