It has been a bit over whelming, she seemed to buy many multiples of the same stuff. Enough tape, batteries, pads of paper to supple a neighborhood. I would love to give them away but we don't have the time to mess with the stuff.
Saved empty containers, old napkins, plastic containers, etc.

We are getting through it.

Feeling happy today! Just discovered we had a CD at a bank that we forgot all about. A 2yr one that matures in a week. My hubby says now he can buy a brand new truck w/all the frills........................... I think a nice couple yrs old one w/all the frills will be just fine as you don't walk out the door and lose a ton like a brand new one.

We were repairing a garden trellis today, so I decided to pull back part of the pond cover to let some sun in:) I found a dead frog...it happens every winter :( We're getting cold weather mid week, after that will probably start up filter and remove cover :)

@Tula I started up our little stream on Sunday. The water was flowing really weird out of the spillway so I stuck my hand in to pull out what I assumed would be leaves the chipmunks stuffed in their over winter - and instead found two big dead frogs. :yuck:

They must think it's going to be warm enough and by the time they realize their mistake it's too late.

I find a few dead frogs every spring, they think the shallow water collections in the stream will be safe. I move frogs in the fall if I see them, but they tend to go right back. I saw frogs in the bog around 3 weeks ago, cute little green frogs, hopefully they went deep again.

@addy and @Lisak1 , We don't have as many frogs as we used to, so I feel sad when I find a dead one :( Last summer I lost a couple in our swimming pool skimmer, along with 5 moles - ick ! Hopefully we'll have more this summer....frogs that is, NOT moles !

I don't like to find the dead frogs. I usually find one or two in the spring. Sometimes floating tads.

The hawk loves to hunt the frogs, we never seem to be on the low end of frog population.

I hope your population explodes! We usually have 1000's of eggs laid, between the toads, tree frogs and green frogs. They cover the water at times. I just let nature do what nature does best, it balances out. With the numbers of toads that jump out of the pond you would think we would be over run with toads, but nope. I see hundreds of those tiny toads jumping around. And they are tiny!

We get loads of tiny roads too. Usually we will end up with one big toad that stays on the porch to catch bugs when the porch light is on. Last years was very large!
