Beautiful day! Pulled some weeds, played with the hot tub pond, mucked out my last pond in the stream. The parrots feather and anacharis both died this winter. They have lived there for many winters before. So the pond was full of dead rotting smelly junk.

Putting in a few hours of work, but mostly just trying to not lose my mind waiting for my wife to go into labor! 41 weeks + 2 days. She's my hero and being amazing, but the wait is excruciating. The weather is nice so maybe I'll do some yardwork/waterfall trouble-shooting after I give her a nice massage/general pampering.
ke her watch a funny side splitting comedy. And massage her ankles, especially the back side, in reflexology that triggers uterine spasms- aka contractions!

tinkering around the house restoring some of the original 70's built home things. first pic you can see the condition of the railings when we bought the house in 2009. some grinding paint remover and sanding before paint and stain.

Trying to clean up the junk we dumped from our Baltimore rehab. So we can get a car back into the garage.

Well picked up a old tarp laying next to the garage and had a very nice surprise! On to my foot landed this little one:

Looked like a garter snake, did a quick look up to make sure it was not a coral snake. The red was not next to the white therefore a good snake!

I don't think we have coral snakes, but decided to be careful. It looked like a garter snake, cute little thing, around 2 feet long.

We only have the copperhead and timber rattler.

Couldn't sleep, got up at 4am, went for a bike ride for 2 hours, came home and started digging up grass around pond so I can put a path in. Took left over grass and put it around outside of shop to fill in low spots. Few I'm beat now!

I get to go home today! So glad, this has been a rough 2 weeks. I’ll be glad to sleep in my own bed, work on my garden and pond, and get back on a normal schedule.

Dear hubby pulled a large garbage bag of poison ivy for me. He does not get it, but I made him wear gloves. We got it removed from the places I work, I get it horribly.

Then pulled weeds and kept picking ticks off, they are so bad this year. I hate the things

Got all the grass dug out for the path around the pond and got the black tube edge all settled in too. Now need more pathway stones.
