Was surprised to read on the other thread that the yellow koi is an unstable color.

This koi I aptly named 'spun gold'... as she truly shines like 24 k gold.
she was born in our pond, here she is next to her momma, this
was taken 2 years ago. She is about eight years old.
What kind of koi is she?

She stays looking the very nice yellow color doesn't she. I don't think she will change but then I don't know much about koi. Just seems if she has been this way for this long she may stay that way.

Hoping someone will be able to identify which type of koi you have there. You have nice big beauties. That white one is a nice big one also. Love the flowing tail.

Thanks addy and Butterfly and Taherrman....

Butterfly, I see you have a bright yellow butterfly too.
I love the Butterfly as well, they're my favorites.
They are so graceful and active...
The orange koi is our first koi, (SUNNY) we bought him in
1997 he the Pop to many of our Butterflies, I'm
assuming he's spun golds Pop...as well as all the other
yellow and white butterflies.
We have another small black butterfly (THE PUP) that we
bought in 1998, he's the Pop to all the black butterflies.

I took this on July 31st...

I was mesmerized watching your cool video of your pretty fish swimming back and forth through that gorgeous pond. Koi always seem to look so happy going about their business. I like how that one had to stop and taste a bit of that plant on the side for a second and then go on his way again. Those plants you have planted around add so much color to your pond.

Gorgeous looking pond. Really like the landscaping around it and how it just hangs over the rocks. Great job.
