Don't like sand we chose for the bottom of little pond

I would definitely stay away from the trash bag and sea shells. What about the pebble tile mosaic pieces they have at lowes? You could put that in and then pull it easily to clean and replace.

I will definitely have to check those out

@Mojoabby ok no fish, gothcha, then yes you could treat it like a swim pool and put chemicals in to keep out algae and keep it nice and clean for waders but then you can't put plants in as the chemicals will kill them. Or maybe you meant the plants would be outside of the pond to look at?

Yes, plants would be outside the pond; I'm not planning on putting anything in the pond as I'm not able to take care of it presently and probably permanently :-(

Chlorine will probably quickly disrupt the adhesive bond.
Hmm never thought about that,
then again they could always use salt rather than chlorine
after all there won't be any fish
would be safer for the kiddies too
