Well I still don't have a lot of the details worked out equipment wise, but the process is underway. Water has been drained and the third load of dirt is on the way. Borrowing a friends bobcat and will start moving dirt next weekend. I'll post a couple photo's if I can figure out how, and so it begins. Thanks for all the advice thus far.

Do you have any drainage holes in the bottom of the swimming pool?

No drainage built in to the pool, I've drilled a bunch of 2" holes in the bottom to facilitate drainage. Other than the hole provided by the pool and the surrounding patio I won't be using any pieces of the existing pool.
