True.
There's actually quite a few birds that I haven't added just because I haven't seen them interact with the pond area more than once or twice.
I've heard that there were some small established colonies in the US, but I'm surprised they are in Wisconsin. The only places I've seen them were in Germany and New Zealand. My dad kept them as aviary birds back in the 60's.

Northeastern Illinois/Southeastern Wisconsin has one of the more established populations in the U.S.
They were believed to be released by a breeder in Chicago many years ago. I saw my first in 2009, but they've become way more common in the past five years. Over the past two years, they've become as common at my feeders as American Goldfinches.

believe it or not my sister picks up that monster . he hubby is an over the road trucker and she worked until a month ago in a nursing home . She retired and was heartbroken because her 2 dogs reesy and bear passed away 2 years before . The were 12 and 14 years old . I think when bear died reesy grieved to much . . I went over to her house last week and there she was up on the carport painting it . it is one of those meta carports . She painted both sheds also . She wanted me to figure out what was wrong with her electrical outlet outside and she wanted one more added to it . Easy to d . outlet was cracked and I replaced that and the box with a 4 gang box . Now she has more outlets on her deck . I then used my finder to mark all the circuit breakers to what rooms they went too . Not one was marked except the heat pump and well .

You are a good sister, sissy! Glad you could help her while her hubby is on the road. She sounds like a hard worker just like you.

oh she is , She helped me by carrying shingles up on my roof so I could install them after wind blew some off . believe me when I say that is no fun for me or her I am 71 and she is 65. I still can't believe we were nuts enough to do it , but we did . I broke down and put a new roof on last year after we fixed . It was just done as a fast fix before more rain came Roofer came 3 weeks later after rains stopped to put new roof on . 30 year roof did not even last 20 years GAF SHINGLES ARE GARBAGE ANYMORE
