Gary It's just north west of Hammond, about two and a half miles outside the city limits. Easy to get to from I-55 once you get off the interstate at University Ave. you head west on wardline and it's the last house on the left, just before the Natalbany river. Should actually be easier to get to then the house we have now.

Sounds like the ideal place, Larkin! I grew up on a ten acre parcel of land just a mile and a half north of where we live now. Our son has the place now, so I can still use it. Has maybe a thousand acres of woods and wildlife on three sides of it. Best of luck with your endeavour! John

did you find the springdale water garden sight fish in I figured since it was family owned it would give you ideas .Tish and Josh Folsom own it and it is at the end of a dead end road and as you drive down the road some of the ponds are on the side of the road going in and you can get a better view of it when you google map it

Sissy, I looked it up and checked it out on a couple of satallite viewing sites. I saved them in my favorites, lots of great ideas and the wife and I both said we would like to make a trip up and check them out. I'm going to get in touch with them after the New year and ask a few questions and see if they can give some pointers. That's is VERY close in line to what we would like to do, maybe not quite on the scale they are but hey, never know. Thanks for posting the link and info! Very interesting and helpful!

Your welcome and plan to visit this spring it is over two hours from my house and is great looking area to visit and there is lots to see in the Shenandoah Valley as it is great green area with mountain views and there is the natural bridge there to see and they have a great spring festival. Also for some nice cheap warm weather plants you may want to check out www.floridahillnursery.com as they are extremely cheap and it is family owned also .

Thank you, Waiting now to hear back, the realtor said it would probably be after the first of the year before we hear anything due to the holidays. Keeping our fingers crossed!

LOL, OMG!! Love it but wouldn't have it on my door! Have to wonder what the doorbell sounds like inside when you push the button?

Well, we are new home owners, SORT OF. We closed on the house today, The sellers sold us theirs and then went straight to the closing on their new home. They had requested 7 days to move but told us today if all goes well they should be out by Friday or Sat. We can start moving the stuff over that will be going outside, Rocks filter drums, trailers, and some of my equipment. So If you don't see me on much that's a good thing, That means I'm busy moving out, moving in, and getting ready to start the first new pond build, and building fences and a new barn.
