lol Glad I could help with your mind flash!
The stock tank will be part of the big pond flow. I need to tap into the pipes, past the pump and direct some of the flow to the tank. I might have it go into a 55 gallon barrel, then waterfall into the tank. The water going into the tank will be unfiltered from the big pond, might make a simple filter before the water enters the tank. The tank will then waterfall back into the large pond. I need to buy some flat rocks to build the waterfall (I am out of them lol) I do have one of those fake water falls, might see if I can use it. Everything is still in the planning stages. I just need to get it done before I take the house shubbies out into it.
Right now it is full of the big pond lilies. I overwintered them in the tank. No fish, maybe some snails.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful pics, Addy! Now, if it snows here, I hope it happens just like yours, pretty, then gone! I have to drive about 3 hours tomorrow after work to help cousin paint her house inside. They want to sell and downsize, one in college, the second one will go next year! And, 3 more after that, but will be a breather between the first two and the next one. I just don't drive in snow with my car. If the roads are at all questionable, I'll take the truck but it sucks on gas mileage, about 1/2 what my Charger gets.

Yep just window light. It was just a cutting from a summer plant, about 5 inches tall, started in september or so. I cooked some organic soil, it is growing like crazy, I put it in a sip, perlite with water, the plant draws up what it needs.

Good idea Addy! I never tried to take cuttings of tomatoes before, I always just plant seed in the spring. Maybe next year I will try that in the green house. Sometimes the greenhouse got too cold but this year I got a small fan heater in the greenhouse that works better. So we shall see, maybe next year....

This yellow cherry is on its 4th season, I move it outside, then back inside then outside every season. I take the inside plant, bury it deep and start it over in the summer. Winter I just bring in a cutting, keeps bugs down and starts the plant over again. The tomatoes are so sweet and very productive.

plants stop flowering here in the summer because of heat ,thinking of making a basement growing space for veggies .A liner and a wooden box with dirt should be ok .I tried outside but with the heat nothing wants to flower and produce by the end of june .

I can give you a good receipt for organic soil, the tomato this year is growing wonderfully. No gnats, good drainage, happy plant. I am going to use some of the soil for the veggies in the outside garden.

I used to have to heat my soil in NJ .I would put all the leaves from the mulch bag on the lawnmower in my garden and they put layers of newspaper and then thick plastic down and then a couple of tarps all winter under the snow the soil was getting rich .Had lots of big fat worms in the spring my sons and there friends would dig up to get for fishing .

Addy, please share your recipe for organic soil! I am starting seeds here, can't wait for spring, and would love to have a soil recipe instead of buying it all the time. Thanks! I've never had much luck raising anything in the house for long. I do have south facing windows in my bedroom, but since I turn heat down to 62 during the day, I think my house is maybe too cool to get things started. Got the bulbs planted last weekend (elephant ear, canna, taro) and more seeds last night (4 different color of the Zinnia, 2 Gazania, and some other seeds neighbor gave me), so hoping they start sprouting. I thought the hibiscus from Sissy sprouted, but looked on my "cheat sheet" and it's the milo that sprouted. Nothing else has sprouted in that tray, so maybe I planted on a "no grow" day according to the Almanac! Or, maybe tray needs more heat.
