I can't believe that everyone's lilies close up so early. Must be because it gets dark earlier and it is so much hotter there. I swear when my bloom that last till 10-11 o'clock at night(still daylight).
You all have LONG days, a lot longer than us. Mine shut around 4ish

An almost frog today, you can see his size by the size of the lily flower.

Found this cutie while on my walk on the road brought him home and stuck out in the back field.

Rodsboys, it stays light out here until 8 p.m., but the lilies close at about 4 here, too. I think it has more to do with the variety of lily, than the daylight hours, but not certain. It has not been hot here lately either, so not closing because of the heat. I think they have a timer ... open at 9, closed by 4. LOL
Love the frog/tadpole/lily pics, Addy! Wish just once I would see some bullfrog tads changing into frogs. I suspect there are some in the bogs, but I never see them because of the plant cover. Maybe someday ...

The green frog tads that over wintered are all getting legs right now, so cute. The toad tads and tree frogs are starting to grow legs, soon they will be hopping away. I see them quite often as they morph.

I have a bunch of them getting legs, they are either toads or the spring peepers.

This is one of the green frog tads morphing

Those are my carnivorous plants. They all are flowering this time of year.

Oooooh never saw one that looked like that. Someday .... LOL How many years have I said that? I just need to designate an area for a carnivorous bog ... still not figured out where to put one. :)
