oh and working in the pond today, a two foot brown water snake came swimming up to me......................

Wow! I would be in another state by now! I don't go in the ponds unless the water is clear so I can see who else is in there. Now after the snapping turtle episode, going to be extra careful!

I can see the trapdoor snails on the bottom in the 5 foot deep area, so the water is crystal clear. The little brown snake was in the shallow end swimming among the pots I was working.

Spiderwort, the bees love it! It's flowers are open all of the time when it is in the bog vs on land They open on land only when it is moist.
