I love my country setting, too, even if it is very flat and boring for some. It all depends on what you like. Four of my siblings live in cities, never lived anywhere else, and they love to come to my "country" home. They are amazed at how quiet it is, you can see the stars (no bright streetlights), and almost no traffic. I would be hard pressed to ever live in the city again, but someday I will likely retire to some type of community like that. I am like you, Addy, I think I would have to hire my work done before I would finally give it up. Yes, I have lots of things to take care of here, but it's what gives me reason to live and exist, and my plants and animals depend on me, and I depend on them for their love and beauty!

They say it keeps you young, I can not image sitting and watching tv all day or GASP shopping, how boring. I am peace in our back yard piddling around. It is not weed free, it is not perfect, but it is mine and the critters.

My thought exactly, Addy. Because of this forum, I have learned to be peaceful with spiders and bumblebees even! And, I have maybe given others the thought of not being a killer toward snakes. LOL I know you are fine with snakes, too, but lots of people are so petrified of them. Sometimes we just need to sit back and let nature be nature.
I saw this spider with a huge fly yesterday, and ran to grab my camera. Five years ago, I would have killed the spider. :)

My little one enjoyed her first boat ride in her little life vest.

Our roughing it break-in rv camping site. We bought it in October, this is our first trip.

Nice site. We go RVing often. Not a permeate site kind of family yet though. I know that has advantages, but I like seeing/doing new things still.

We were at bass pro shop, got sucked into a time share with rv sites, i.e. pay 25 bucks for everything paid for, hot tub etc, sit and waste 2 hours letting them try to sale a time share to you. So we did it.

I used to rv all of the time with my late hubby. We were sand duners, rode the 4 wheelers. We had a real nice old class a 34 foot.
This hubby, he has never rv'd, new experience for him.

This is what ours looks like, not ours, but a web picture.

Cute camper! And, your dog should have been on full alert, after all, who has horse statues that are barely bigger than little tiny Missy?! LOL Was that nest from some type of bird, or the beginnings of a hornet nest? Hornet nests are made out of what looks like paper, and built from the center out, with a hole in the bottom like that.
So, the camping site ... the table and chairs and grills, those were all supplied at the site you were at for your "freebie", I assume? That looks like a great table and chairs, far better than I've ever seen at a camp site.
