well its time for my first addition to my little oasis in the yard
its a flat concrete slab with a shed on the side and a fence in front
119877

the plan is to create a cascading waterfall coming in to the pond in the centre of the far edge where the fence meets the shed corner
and fed from by a gravity filter out let in the side of the shed about two or three ft high witch gradually falls.
how should i start this ?anyone

theres nothing in situation yet only the pond
so i was thinking of a small rectangle down the side of the shed about 3ft wide and 5or6 ft long
i breeze block high in the front half and 2breeze blocks high for the rear
and backfilled with rubble and earth on top in a slanted hill effect
is this a good way to start this project??

You have been bitten by the pond bug. We started out with a tiny hole, about 25 gallons. Now have 2 koi ponds totaling over 9000 gallons!

Yes, that's a good way to start. You will have a short stream that will end with a waterfall. Be sure that you make the stream high enough and deep enough so that the water doesn't leak out over the sides. You may also need a valve to regulate the amount of water going over the falls.

I think it looks fabulous! Tidy work on the stone. The flower plantings next to the fall really make it look natural.
