Have the aquascape aquasurge pumps, as well. As Lisa said they are completely quiet , I can stand right next to the pump in the skimmer vault and not hear it. I have 4 of them one is the variable speed 4-8000gph, 2 -2000gph, and one 3000gph. Very reliable pumps, had no issues with them.

We have two also - both are very quiet. The main pond has the 4-8000 and the pondless has the 2000gph. I checked the specs and don't see a HP listed.

I wanted them to get one of those but they did not want to spend the funds.
