Extracted the LAST honey frame! The bees are doing clean up. All pictures taken through the patio door.
This is the extractor,

When they are done, there is no honey drips, the dishes are almost clean enough to put away. All they left is a bit of wax behind, you can see the honey in the strainer above, only a bit of wax below.
I put paper towels in any large amounts of honey to keep the bees from getting stuck and drowned.

They do a darn good job.

Ha my days off! I’ve had a heck of a week, and am done! Yesterday was my Friday. I some how traveled back in time to end up an hour early for work ( my hubby says it was just after three when I left home, but it was almost three when I got to work, I was an hour early!) then I had a customer call and complain because she was doing circles around the store and backing up over the drive thru line when I had a lobby full of customers at my register and couldn’t get back to the drive thru to help her. From 8-11, I’m alone at the store with out help. The drive thru doesn’t get priority over customers at the register. And she had the gall to complain! That kind of entitlement makes me mad.

I visited the Wind Point Lighthouse today. Lake Michigan was a nice shade of blue.

i checked my outside totes yesterday, I’ve got babies! Baby fancy tail guppies! Wasn’t sure if any of the females survived, but apparently at least one did, I’ve got at least a dozen fry, all hiding in the duckweed, and naturally I couldn’t get good pictures. It’ll be interesting to see how they turn out, I’ve got two I know are male adults, a very pretty icy blue and an almost indigo, and I suspect the orange is the female.

Finally melted all the cappings, i.e. wax from extracting the honey, put it out for the bees to clean.
A lot of honey is left as the wax melts, we feed it back to the bees. Video taken through the patio door, no way am I going out there. Unless I suit up.

I think I would have turned around and went back to my home!
We almost did, but decided we should go. Glad we did after around 45 minutes of hard rain, the sun came out and we had a great market.
Dedicated shoppers. There is a huge veggie stand there, people come in droves to get their stuff.

Today we got the kitchen painted. It’s now a turquoise blue. Pictures look more blue than it does to my eyes. Carried the color over into the sun room, all but the exterior wall, which is in the middle of an extended pause in its renovation, kinda like the living room! Lots of half done projects around here, due to funds, man power, time, lack-a-wanna, and any other number of excuses. I’ve decided I’m going to start knocking them out. If I push the guys, it gets done, they feel accomplished, so they are more willing to take on the next project. Very little has been accomplished the past 4 years, from my step moms I’ll health, dads bad shoulder, weather and lack of funds. So time for sgt me to start pushing! Tomorrow sun room gets its second coat, then I’ll start planning trim, boarder, etc. I’m not sure I’m pleased with the color, it isn’t as bright as I’d wanted, but it fits the color Schmidt wanted, so I’ll change the lighting in the kitchen instead once I can get to that point. The color I went for is the Milano teal on the left in the bottom picture.
