Gosh @addy1 that sounds scary! Hope all is fine w/the boat and glad you went home.

We got more of our firewood split and stacked. No more room in 2 big woodsheds and lean too so all the rest of the wood rounds will have to wait till we get a place to put them after this winter. Feels darn good to be prepared w/lots of wood to keep us warm. All it cost us was the gas and a giant bottle of Irish whiskey for the guy who let us cut all the wood.

There are a lot of live aboards, one told us the last bad storm the water came up 7 feet. So we are on hold as to what happens. We gave our cell number to two boaters that live there, they will call us if we need to come over and do repair stuff . Will probably head over on Thursday to see how it survived.

The current projection is almost direct hit on the bay, which will push water into the bay. Hope it turns a bit out to sea!

@addy1 good you have people watching out for your boat. I would not want to be living on a boat w/that horrid storm going on. Yes hope it goes the other way and misses the boats!

Got to see some great flyovers today while I was sitting out by my pond. KC-135 from the 128th Air Refueling Wing in Milwaukee.

Just got home a little earlier today from a two-day camping trip to one of my favorite habitats in southeastern Wisconsin. I'll probably make a thread about it later.

Just ordered 400 lbs of concrete to install 30' of drain along sidewalk. Hopefully will keep water from flowing over the foundation and into the basement. Concrete- another thing that has gotten scarce along with drain pipe, fencing, seeds.

Took two cars to get window tinting done, sure looks nice. It also reflects the heat.

@Jhn zero damage at the boat, the live aboards said it was not bad here at all!

We are over at the boat, watching it rain rain rain. We are yanking the leopard skin carpet going to put in vinyl tiles. Also pulling up two layers of sheet vinyl.

That is good to hear that everything was ok with your boat, yep it really didn’t do much here other than heavy rain for the morning.

Haha...That is an interesting choice of decor the previous owner chose for the boat.

Worked out for me today with the rain and not being able to work , I am off today and tomorrow anyhow taking our middle son off to college in PA.

Raining here as well. Got 20' of trench drain glued yesterday. Was going to test slope today. Trench and yard flooded, looks like 3" drainage pipe needs to go to 4"!

My rain gauge measured 9.75 inches during the storm. Yesterday 1 inch the day before 1.5 inches. It is a bit wet here! At home for the entire month we got 2.13 inches.

PL roof cement worked great on trench drain. Too good- whole 20' floated down sidewalk about 10". Didn't notice it till I cut corrigated drain pipe going to basin. Back to hardware store before all this rain traps us in our development - again!

Two days to do the living / kitchen area. Just two tiles did not need to be cut. Three storage pods to cut the tile to fit and make sure the lines still flowed.

But a lot better looking than this! We pulled the carpet off the cabinets , taking the doors home to remove the carpet, they glued a lot of it on. Easier to do at home and too tired to mess with. Still have the bunk bed bedroom to do.

Watched too many hours of racing today (two NASCAR races and the Indy 500), and then played some Forza Motorsport 7. I've been addicted to this game the past week or so.
