Yesterday sun came out but weather is getting much colder at night so drained all the garden hoses, emptied concrete and plastic bird baths, picked more tomatoes from green house, did some weeding and rode my bike 30miles, then ate dinner and collapsed on the couch

Almost done need to add some trim to the wood on the sides of the steps. The original steps you can see the huge drop between steps and the leopard skin carpet.

Then we pulled carpet off, used some of the original wood to build new steps. A bit of the equipment below the steps is seen.

I covered them with the foam teak flooring and sticky gray carpet for the sides. Still need to finish the wood to the side of the steps, trim. Add removable kick plates.

The down shot shows how they are angled in different ways as you go down.

It’s gettin cold here, like mid 30s day time, I guess I will try to finish edging this weekend still though.

The reason I am posting though is this kinda great news! ( but also sad for the pond season )

I don't ever find the forum that slow over winter. We just talk about things we're PLANNING instead of things we're DOING.

@addy1 I would have sworn you were a leopard skin kind of gal!

First hard frost last night. We hit right at the median date for first frost for our area, so I guess you can't complain too much about that. Still have some few random yard chores to finish, but mostly we're ready for the big W.

My poor strawberry plant was freezing outside, so I brought it in to see if it can mature the last few fruits that are on it, then I will plant it outside to winterize
So pretty how it's changing colors

Thanks! Wouldn't it be great if it kept on going popping out fruits till next Spring?

BTW, I thought of you twice today ...once when my sister asked me pics of my new stones, I thought " Humm I wonder if jw would find these stones interesting...and then again when I was shopping for a spinning bike (yup I'm starting spinning classes), I thought " I wish I could go looking for logs/stones on this bike like jw does

Who knows maybe the plant can grow in the house. I imagine it will run out of energy tho unless maybe you keep fertilizing it and giving it plenty of light.

I have never met a rock I didn't like so I'm sure I would love yours!

Hmmmmmmmmm, a spinning bike won't allow you to look for stuff unless you were to put it on a trailer and hook it up to a car.
Maybe someone can drive you around
