That’s probably more comfortable, but all I can think when I look at that is don’t drive Oklahoma roads! Even the paved ones( especially the paved ones!) tend to have bad pot holes, be very bumpy, it’s like they bring only first year rookies in to do road work here! The crew they brought in from Kansas to do repairs to the highway just north of me is the exception, they did good work, but now there are bumps where the “ rookie crews” from a different company have “blended” their bridge repair to the regular highway, it’s not bad yet, but as traffic goes across it, I expect it will get bad. I’ve literally woken up because of change of road texture, when I wasn’t bouncing like I’m riding a rodeo bull, I thought something was wrong when we crossed into Texas!

Hot cocoa, after going out to check ice storm damage. I’ve got several good sized branches in my pond, thank god I didn’t have a new liner or any fish.

Ice storm pics from my quick check on everything. I haven’t checked the back side of the house due to branches still coming down, temps are at 33, so ice is coming down too in concussion inducing clumps.
However, the house elf struck here last night, and the living room has magically had a few problem areas cleaned and rearranged.

Pics of the “pond” thru the window, so not great, but last time I stood at the fence to look at damage, ice tried to make me sleep.

@JamieB I feel so bad for you! I remember the flooding, (was it last year? )

Yeah, like last October! I think it was October, so I should just expect bad weather in October!

No, it was may, with another small bit of flooding later.

I looked at my pictures, it started in April, all of May, into June. But we hah had flooding in October 2018.

They are calling for over 3 inches of rain hitting us from the hurricane, tomorrow. Our house is at the top of the hill so we are never in danger, everything drains down the hill into the woods.

Spent the cloudy, misty 68f degree day pulling carpet and putting down new flooring in the bedroom. Soon no more carpet! Can't wait!
Getting hubby to sort his clothes, he has dropped 90 lbs since we married so a lot of things do not fit. TOSS! Bought smaller as he got smaller even those are too big now. So get rid of, purge time.

The newest puppies are Ewoks! I was bent double laughing thus morning as they made Ewok sounds. Told hubby the big male is named Wicket, he said no, he has to earn a name. That boy is an early achiever, he had his eyes open two days before the little girl did, and his brother only has one open. But they are chunks! Big fat babies.

They’re a bit camera shy. Two males, one has a black face, one mostly black with a white streak. The female has a white face.
