I doubt spray paint would last very long .Do you have any stone yards where you can pick stones out yourself .I know ours here allow you to and you pay by weight

I got all my rocks from my neighborhood where they were building houses. During the summer EVERY night my wife and I would go out for about and hour, pick and haul rocks back to the pond.

Sometimes your rocks if they are in some shade might get some nice moss or lichen on them.........they do around here cuz we have so much rain tho. Maybe not so much in drier, hotter climates. You can use buttermilk to make the moss grow on the rocks too if they are in a nice shaded area.

JW, can you expand on the buttermilk? How does that work? My whole yard is VERY shady and many of the rocks that were there before I came have moss and look beautiful. I thought I remember reading here somewhere about blending up some sort of moss-mixture to spray on them to get them to grow?
