Why are my fish only starting to spawn only now?

Seem a little late to spawn. In May we had good weather, up to 18-26 Celsius for over a week or so.
Our start of June is mild with mostly rain and they decide to start spawning now?
Average water temperature for May was around 15-18C
For the start of June its been around 10-15C (thats Irish weather for you, we only get 10-20 hot days, rest is overcast for whole summer)

Oh by the way.. they have being swimming around like crazy past 2 days without break and not eating. Doing circles in around the plants.
First time i have experience this behavior, so kinda excited.

The Shubunkins are spawning with the goldfish, even the Koi gets in on the action.

I got my goldfish at the same time with the Koi.. They were all the same size.. Now the Koi is 6 times bigger.. they grow fast!
Will have to re-home him soon
