The green is called deep rustic and brownish tan is called midtone 41. I saw a house here in town that I loved the colors of and I asked the owner what colors they were. He didn't know and told me to figure it out. So I did just that. Downloaded a app on my iPhone by sherwin Williams and went back and took some pictures. It told me the color so I went to there virtual house painter site, uploaded a pic of my house and did some playing around. I wanted to be sure that I liked the color because its not easy to just change the color of your house. Took me about a week working on it when I could. Since all the windows, sofit, gutters and gable vents were all new I had extra masking off to do. Even got a new airless paint sprayer to do the job. Still have some touch ups to do but it's 99% done.

Great job!

We have the hardi pank cement siding. It comes with a 50 yr primer on it so we didn't have to prime all of it first before painting. Next spring after we replace the sewer line and the landscape is done in the front we are going to plant some med height grasses and then put in some up lighting in the front shining up on the house. We are never done with stuff here.

I first wanted to do can lights in the sofit, but there was no way to safely install them without making sure they had proper clearance around them for fire safety and there was no way to get the wires ran out there from the attic. I checked that out the first winter we were here while I was trying remove the family of squirles that made a nice home in our attic. Since they house sat empty for 2 years they thought they would move in. They could have cleaned at least while they were here. When the new sofit was installed, (same guy did the windows, siding and sofit) he just put the sofit over the other stuff. We were going to tear it out, but we had to get air test done, have the dnr onsite since the critters were once living in the attic and have the health dept out here. Something about the droppings they leave behind can be a hazard if you breathe it in. So we decided to just trap the ones in the attic, seal up there entry point and put new sofit in over the old.

Found some more random pictures of our little house on my laptop, mostly things I've worked on, so i snapped a picture when I was done.

Simple DVD rack I made, didn't have to look too pretty because its in the kids playroom. BTW, this thing is completely FULL now

Bathroom, (this room was horrible when i bought the house, wallpaper with little flowers and plants all over it) Carol picked the shower curtain, and picked everything else to match. I made those shelves at work, made from aluminum.

My project last weekend. New dog kennel. goes into the garage, which is fenced off inside too. they have a path to walk from the door in the house, to a doghouse inside the garage, and then outside but nowhere else in the garage.

I also thought my house looks big. Its a bit deceptive. The front left part is a 2.5 car garage. The rest is at 1415 sq ft ranch. I finished another 900 sq ft in the basement. For reference, the pond is 8'x9'.
