Well what a great morning. I looked out the window this morning and there where 2 deer and my visiting ducks all at the pond. The plants are really starting to grow, I am seeing it come alive. A coffee and warmer weather would make it perfect

Here is a very bad picture but you can see one deer, it is very dark and through the window and screen

Right now I am wishing the deer stay away far away................. still doing damage control from all they munched on over the winter. Waiting to see if the plants / bushes/ trees come back before chopping them down.
Do love to see them though.

There are times when I am working around my pond or just sitting pondside when I realize how very lucky I am. What a luxury, to be able to have a pond right in my very own backyard. It's simply my favorite place on the planet right now. Your post brought back that feeling for me - lucky, lucky, lucky!

We had a pair of ducks on the pond yesterday - I missed seeing them because of that four letter word "WORK". My husband ran to get a picture and right then is when one of the dogs spotted them - so that was the end of that! Wonder if they'll come back? If not, we may rent our little tough guy out as pond security!

Me too. There were times last year where I was just sitting by my pond, watching the fish and frogs do whatever they felt like doing... it was awesome.

The other day I was sitting next to my new pond, a Green Frog not two feet away from me, chickadees flying from fence, to bridge, to the birdhouse I built. It was nice. I'm glad that I'm helping these animals survive. ...and then I began imagining once my pond and bog is complete, and its summertime...there will be so much activity. More frogs, insects on the flowers, birds bathing in my bog.... Its gonna be great!

That work thing gets in the way a lot. I tend to not see the lily blooms fully open due to work. Love the passion you have for your pond.

I would love to see ducks at my pond but I'm pretty sure that won't ever happen. If the net doesn't keep them out the dogs will....
I am amazed at how well our dogs are doing with the ducks. The net will keep them at a distance I would think
