Yeah I can relate to the "kept having issues with it" thing. I'm a persistent bugger though....

I was at my grandparents place swimming this weekend so i snapped a quick picture, very cool idea, just didnt work for him.

Cool! That's a neat one. It looks like that too.

I'm shooting for having mine back up and going in 2-3 weeks, after I finish the rockwork and do the sealer in the basin above it.

I started out with small ponds, loved them, just didn't know what I was doing when I build them.
A small one here we would never see it since it would be down our hill...........lol
Even right next to the house it would be 10 feet down from the first floor, they build this house on the side of a hill.

Just finished rocking in the above-the-wheel basin. Going to do the sealer this weekend, and hopefully have the water wheel back up and running by Sunday.

Before, during and after pics (we got a lot of rain the other Monday, so it got partially filled) -

Here's the backside. I'm just going to leave it open now; eventually may put some kind of a door there.

It.... has returned.

Put the water wheel back in last night, and it's working well. The metal axle did the trick.

Also pics of the finished above-the-wheel basin, with the pond armor epoxy applied. That stuff is great (so far at least - I'm curious to see how it does through the winter).

Wow you have really changed it up and added a ton of rock. Looks good, like the wheel, you should make a video for us.

LOL - funny you should mention that. I took one, then realized I was holding my camera sideways (as I often do for pictures), and you can't really "rotate" videos (at least that I'm aware - maybe there's a program that can...), so I rotated it straight in mid-video. I'll probably post a section of that one or take another at some point. Got to reinstall my video edit software on my PC (a long story).

Amazing! Love the rock work and plantings, too. You should be very proud of all your work.

Someone in So.Cal has a huge waterwheel next to their pond. I will try and find the pic. I have no idea where they got it but I've had waterwheel envy ever since.
