uv sterilizer

I was trying to find out what size of uv sterilizer to buy and one site said I needed 114 watt for a 2500 gallon pond..price..above the 700 dollar range..wow..wow..wow... does this sound about right ? My pump is 2550 gph at maybe 5 ft head height...just seems a bit overkill to me...I dunno...

Each manufacturer specs pond size and that should be followed. Sterilizer requires more power and if you want higher flow rate it requires more power. Most water gardens don't need a high flow sterilizer. But it depends what you're trying to do.

I'd keep comparing, but I would like to check out this manufacturer.
