What does your pond look like ... Today?

Cold hitting this weekend, days in the 30's the pond might start to ice over.

We have still been in the 50's and just rain if we get it and I can do the no snow this winter and be happy with that .

We're expecting our first snowfall today - up to four inches they say. We'll see. We have had a beautiful fall... I was kind of hoping winter would hold off for a few more weeks!

I built it there so I could view it from my front covered porch and it is near the septic tank to pick up heat from it .You can somewhat see the porc

You'll have to excuse the vehicles in the picture, as I've parked them out of the way in anticipation of some bad weather coming.

Thanks, I wish I had more construction time during the year. Unfortunately for 8 months out of each year, my pond is hands off.

Well, I delayed it as long as possible, but with considerably colder weather coming next week, I decided to shut the pond down today. I'm surprised I still have a few green lily pads in December. Usually they're all yellow by the end of October.

I removed the last of the water plants yesterday - a hand-numbing experience in December. Things are pretty bare now but we look forward to a green 2017. Happy Christmas season to all fellow ponders everywhere. God bless us, everyone!

@Kenneth hmmmmmmmmmmm don't know why your time thingy won't change times. Must be a simple fix but not sure what. Maybe someone else knows. It also shouldn't have those gray words above it so something is off.
