Whatcha doing today?

our new police chief is on the ball ,He is walking the streets with officers to cut down on crime and talking to people to find out what their concerns are in each neighborhood .He is trying to let people know that he is on the side of the good citizens of Danville .Crime and drugs are being attacked with a gusto .Big drug busts and gun confiscations and gang arrests .

I'm loving all these police and firefighter lip sync battles - such a fun and positive way to connect with the community and show these are real people doing a really hard, often thankless job.

Peanut butter mixed in with cheap bird seed is good feed for squirrels.

Have a lot of plants to sort out. Here .is a pic of six crepe myrtle, of you can believe it they were a dollar each on clearance, in three gallon containers. Took all of them. Lowes have all trees seventy percent off, and clearance perennials. Here are the plants and the receipt. One dollar each, just can't believe my luck.

setting my new tank to see how it looks before I finish it up .Haul dirt to fill it in 2 wheelbarrows full and the decided to get some of the edging done .Did just over half the property before it gets to hot .Lucky I got up before 6 am

Lucky you! I love Crepe Myrtle, too bad it's not hardy in my zone

I am going to put potted plants in there and at the back I am thinking of putting the fishing boy and girl or maybe a short stand gazing ball

Wondering if I will be throwing mulch forever? At least it was cooler today for doing it. More tomorrow.

worked on pond and was up chasing those kittens away from the pond and then a darn baby possum got on the front porch and made a mess .tore apart some of my potted plants

I need mulch so bad!
I usually add 20yards x year, but I kinda let things go due to other projects so now I will need at least 80 yards...that's a lot of mulch!

More weeding, have to deal with poison ivy today, and a yellow jacket nest. I'm procrastinating though

I need to weed but trying to get ready to leave for vacation on Monday. Had to put up a new motion detection security light, our old one went bad. When I took it down, the ground wire had broken off and all the wiring was melted. Its going to be a vegan weekend!
