Thanks Addy, and the hornwort is finally starting to grown faster than what the fish can eat, so some strands are starting to grown long and wave in the water current. I also find that the hornwort grows best when the water is warmer and where they is a good water current. I will get a picture when the caterpillers are gone coccooning and the water starts to clear back up, which should be another week or two.

I have LED solar strand lights all around my front garden, poking threw the rocks, in the little front pond stream, and I just love them. The one that glow yellow are not solar.

Colleen, your flowers are really pretty. My lilies look like they are going to open, but about two months behind schedule because it was such a cool spring!

Beautiful pix Colleen. Hope it didn't do too much damage so they can stand up tall again.

Pond Plant selection sucks here. No yellow iris etc.

Wow thought I over did the lights in my yard. You not afraid some punks will come by in the front yard and tear out the lights etc?

Nice to hear from you Wayne!!
Nobody ever touches my stuff, not in many many years. I have a strategy, over whelm them with so much garden junk that they won't know what to take! Ha ha ha. :)

I help my neighbors, I help the lady across the street, who is in remission from cancer, and give kids lots of candy... then the other kids next door just love me, and rush to see my pond when I am home, they feed the fish caterpillers and worms. I have mostly good neighbors, they may not be rich and own a fancy home, but most are hard working honest people. I am a friendly person and get along well with almost everybody! There was a time many years ago when I had trouble, neighbors across the street were crack addicts, I used to give that lady some candles cause she had no powers most of the time, and was still nice to her, even though she was very crazy! One time she ran up and down the street with no clothing on, screaming something, she was real crazy.! I saw her about six or seven years years ago, after they kicked her out of the house, she was in a wheel chair, never seen her again after that....

Now I am in a flood evacuation zone, not leaving just yet!

Saw on tv what might be coming your way from Calgary. You must be worried about all the outside work being washed away. Are you taking the fish inside? Forgot to mention the lights look cool, you taking them out as well to prevent water damage?

Breaking news!! The river may have crested, no flood on my block yet!! They were going to shut down the Trans Canada bridge, last open bridge, but now they say it will stay open as waters are now rising as fast as thought!!
The lights are almost all solar, and I have out them in the stream in the water and they still work!
I am fine but mad as hell!! All the stuff hubby has been has been hording is now up stairs!! Grrrrr

That's great news Colleen! Oh darn it about the hoarding stuff way upstairs now. Look on the bright side tho, all those people who moved out and stayed in motels and had to eat out and spend all that money plus brought all their junk upstairs too. You will get such good exercise dragging it back down. Just don't let this go to your head thinking that every time they say flood you will be spared tho.

Yes JW, you can rest assured that next time for sure I will leave! Ha ha. I survived yet another big flood! I do know what this means.... the odds are that one day my luck will run out!!

Was wondering.... where did everybody go?? The streets are empty, except for my hubby's old car. I hid mine in the neighbors drive way, two vehicles out front might give us away!! You can see the "escape hill" not too far off, just at the end of the block!

Here are the fish tubs that I made flood ready, up on cement blocks, just in case .....

Thanks Keith, waiting for flood crest, no sign of water on street, news at 11 pm says the berms and dykes are working and holding water back pretty well. I am amazed that I still have no water on street yet, city has deployed many workers that are working very hard tonight! Water is now flowing 5300 cubic feet per second. I heard the news report that some people were looting on the other side of the train tracks, where the flooding is worse....

Thank goodness the river is starting to drop now, can't tell you how much stress me and the hubby were under. The thought of losing our home, my garden, the ponds, is enough to drive any person insane. I feel drained, tired, weak. The worst is over and we escape with no water this time at all. My hubby is out and about on the streets, talking to a couple other "defectors" who refused to leave, the defectors are comming out of the "woodwork" now! The city can't can't keep track of all the people who refused to leave, and I think they concentrated just on the ones closest to the river, who were most in danger.

The CHAT broadcast TV station was under threat too, as they are just a couple blocks away from my house. The really worked hard and protected their station, just take a look....
