Ive had my pond for 10 yrs, it seems like every few yrs after they grow to 10 lbs or so i put to much algee destroyer in there and kill all my koi.

thank you all for the great response.and answers,,,i think its all in being stupid and reading too much to a solution i dont have..thank you all again and i will certainly keep y`all updated .....see iam from the south and we talk kinda funny like that
No, not stupid! We don’t learn if we don’t 1) ask questions, and 2) don’t make a few mistakes along the way. Hey, here in S’port (the South) we identify more with East Texas than we do with the state of LA.

i dont have green water...its crystal clear...i notice the fish coming up to where the spring water comes into the pond,,,the y seem to really like it,,,i guess its the minerals coming into the pond they like...but again,,,iam not sure why they love it

They aren't super popular here, but I got a lot of mileage out of a UV System. They aren't that expensive, and they'll kill suspended algae. Now the dead algae will just decay into nutrients, so you probably want it as part of a filter system. But one of the box filters or pressure filters with a UV light might help your problem.

My bog system alone keeps everything safe for the fish. I added a koi-style filter to improve the water clarity. The bogs are truly remarkable and near zero maintenance, but if they aren't keeping up, you may want some heavy hitter solutions.

i have a 75 watt uv...i get it running in the hot summer
