Are they stuck to the rocks and do they move? If not must be some kind of leavings from snails or water creatures maybe?

Really? I thought they just hunkered down under rocks and such in the mud?

Maybe immature mosquito larvea. If they come up to the top of the water and hang then that's what they are.....They don't look like bloodworm....

Is there any flow in that water...?

Not that I've noticed...I have seen some activity on the surface of the water like tiny skeeters :)

Building the eastern shoreline with Boulders , rocks , stones and pebbles . Planting in-between to soften the effect . Every stone placed by hand (I hurt) :)
