Sad day today as it was step one of closing down the pond. Removed the small pump that pumps water through my log, cut down some of the sedges and plants around my pond, and netted it since leaves are really starting to fall now.

Had three frogs stuck on my net this morning, not "in" it, just on top. It was warmer last night, so they were out hunting and couldn't figure out how to get back in. I always make it a priority to check when it's warmer out. I've only had one or two over the two previous years, so I was surprised to see three at once this morning. Grabbed them and put them back in the pond.

I love the look of plants growing right up to the pond water and flowing over into it @Tara
You have a very nice selection of them and it looks great! I see some moss forming too...........cool:cool:

The November winds always make quite a mess here from all the trees shedding needles and leaves. I look forward to the calm predictability of winter. I hope you’re all enjoying the change of seasons. This pic is after a routine cleanup.

We have had a moderate to severe drought in my county this year. The rains finally came and the springs filled up my pond yesterday.

Now the overflow is filling up the second pond. I was getting concerned that the ponds would freeze over before filling. Then, the ice would rise up and rip the drain pipes off.
