I also found the first plant growth around my pond area! Its my favorite plant too, the Sweet Woodruff my grandma gave me last year. Judging by what I saw, it spread pretty nicely too! Can't wait to replant some of it later this spring.

(I'd suggest everyone to look this plant up. Its a fantastic ground cover that stays green from Spring to Winter, grows in full sun or full shade, and gets little white flowers for awhile. It really looks great along rocks and the edge of water and can actually grow between the rocks to give it a nice natural look)

I saw some growth as well on my perennials starting to come up, but the weeds seem to be doing better.

I hear parts of Minnesota and Northern Wisconsin could get well over a foot of snow! I am so glad I'm in southeastern WI, even though sometimes I think another 100 or so miles south would give me the perfect length of winter.

Just a couple in bloom for me right now. But I can't figure out where these tulips came from as I never had them last year this color and type.

Star Magnolia has Lichen growing on the branches. I don't like it but they say it won't hurt the tree.

JW- Do you have squirrels in your neighborhood? They are notorious for relocating tulips.

I never see any in our yard MC but do see them down the road sometimes. Think they don't feel secure enough here as trees are not so plentiful. I prolly found them laying somewhere out along side the road maybe where someone had thrown out some yard debris and just forgot about them...........who knows. Anyways they are pretty and glad they grew [IMG]

Yep they like to eat them but sometimes they are too full so they dig them up from one place and bury them somewhere else for safe keeping and then they forget where they put them so they grow and surprise people in their gardens :)
